Digital assets are the different forms of digital media prevalent in our day. They come in different shapes and are constantly shifting as innovation continues to thrive. Digital media has been with us for a while, it used to be referred to as new media. But in this era of Covid 19 where social distancing is the new normal, this has become the obvious mode of human interaction.

It has been a season that has caused those traditional media diehards to restrategize, otherwise oblivion will be where they find themselves, their businesses, organisations and even ministries.

Since March 2020, we have seen an upsurge of online content. More and more organisations, profit and non-profit have since invested in one form of digital media asset or another. Some of these decisions have been a form of knee jerk reaction with no real strategy beyond copy- pasting what others are doing.

How then do you choose which digital asset to invest in? Given that even before the lockdowns, most people were already using social media as their preferred mode of interaction, this would be the best place to start. Again, social media offers you an array of platforms to choose from.

You do not have to jump on every one of them all at once but carefully consider your target audience and where they are spending most of their time. That is where you want to start. Once you have narrowed down on the social media platforms that would best suit your audience, what’s next?

Join us tomorrow as we go through the actual process of selecting suitable digital assets – social media included that best serve your target audience. Remember, your aim is to enhance your relationship with people not alienate them. In case you are experiencing a challenge in this area, send me a message, we will work it out together.
