Google+

Google+

Hi, finally I am on Google+! Yeap am in!!
This may sound very juvenile to those who see themselves as internet gurus, but as I write this post, am on cloud nine.  Opened on the next tab is Google+ which I joined yesterday after getting an invite from a friend.

After two weeks of visiting the Google plus site everyday to try and sneak in or fake an invite am finally in. I hope it is worth the wait and the hype. So much has been said about it, I have read too many articles that have so far been written on Google plus, it’s pros and cons.

What I like about being in Google + is feeling special. Yeah I know, what you must be thinking???? but this is my moment let me be.

Being among the first couple of a million users of any platform in the world has special feel to it. Facebook has how many ??? yeah now you can see why the special feeling.

I must confess, I am a late comer to this whole social media business so I have not exhaustively used Facebook and Twitter.

What I like about being where I am right now is that I can learn the “how to” from those who have been using it and have managed to use social media to propel their businesses to greater heights.

 My Google+ experience so far…….

After joining Google +  was excited to be able to invite my friends and business contacts to join me and share the experience.

The circle provide such a unique way of classifying different contacts and be able to retain some privacy depending on which circle you are conversing with.

Then there is the hanging out part, I can connect with my contacts in real time, this is cool.

There are photos to share and videos, having all this on one platform is quite something.

Then there is talk about a link for Google+ having more value in terms of page the rankings, so why shouldn’t i take full advantage of this and see how it goes. For SE this will be awesome.

I had integrated my Gmail account with outlook but now Google + I can shuffle between the two.

Then there is the mobile Apps, well it works. So far this is the much I have managed to do and I have early touched the surface.

Google+ as the next social media frontier

You know what, may be! But from what I have learnt over the years, there is always something thing new on the internet. Remember all the social media sites you have had to migrate from because there is something better? This may just be one of those.

We all have our preferences though, I might want to hang around on Linkedin a bit longer before I move all my contacts to Google+, Twitter, am in love it, so I am not sure I want to even think about giving up this addiction.

Facebook am sorry  man, you go first no hard feelings, it is not you, it is me. I never really quite got you but I will not close my account just in case.

So there will be a varied opinions on Google+ in comparison with all the others, but that’s the beauty of life.

Google+ as a business tool

I am adopting a wait and see attitude, but am hopeful that Google+ will be a variable business tool.

I love social media, can’t wait to see how I will be able to integrate Google+ to interact and get feedback from my customers and friends alike.

Anyway there is so much going on with Google+ that there seems to be something new every day, and am loving every moment of it.
